Why I Started My Dog Walking Business
My family welcomed two wonderful dogs into our home—a playful Labrador and a sweet Bichon. They quickly became an irreplaceable part of our family, bringing us so much love and joy. However, life took me in a different direction, and I eventually had to move away, leaving my gorgeous dogs behind. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I missed them terribly. I was fortunate enough to have family look after them whilst I was gone, but what always stuck with me was the guilt I used to feel whenever I had to leave them home alone for work. I knew they would be waiting for me all day, counting the minutes until I walked back through the door. That feeling never left me, and it made me realize something—I wanted to help other dog owners avoid that same guilt. That’s why I started my dog walking business. I want my clients to go about their day, whether it’s work, errands, or other commitments, without worrying about their beloved pets being stuck at home. When I care for a client’s dog, I treat them like family. I make sure they get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. And because I know how much people miss their pets when they’re apart, I provide regular updates and photos. Whether my clients are feeling a little down, missing their furry friend, or just want to see what they’re up to, I’ll always make sure they stay connected. Starting this business has been more than just a job for me—it’s a passion. Every walk, tail wag, and happy bark reminds me why I do what I do. If I can make even one dog’s day better and help an owner feel more at ease, then I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
